Aviator+ advertises notice as short as five days. Confirm peak dates, departure flexibility and exceptions; do not apply this window to every product.
Changes, expiry & refunds
Published deposits do not expire. Aviator is described as fully refundable; Aviator+ is non-refundable. Complete flight-cancellation deadlines require the agreement.

Choose the contract before comparing the price. FXAIR's US memberships offer different commitments, and its European products have their own terms. A familiar product name does not establish that the deposit, refund rights or aircraft rules are identical across regions.

Aviator or Aviator+?

The US Aviator page describes a refundable balance applied to travel. The Aviator+ page adds fixed-rate FXSelect access, with a non-refundable deposit, ongoing dues and a waitlist. A balance that never expires can still decline through membership charges; ask what happens during a year with little flying.

Start with expected trips and the value of the access promise. If your plans change substantially from month to month, the refund provisions deserve particular attention. If you seek a predictable rate for repeat travel, ask FXAIR to identify exactly which aircraft and journeys qualify before committing funds.

Where PrivateFly fits

PrivateFly's official site now directs visitors to FXAIR. Use the current regional FXAIR proposal when researching that former brand. This directory treats the transition as one provider profile rather than presenting PrivateFly as an additional current option.

Test three journeys against the offer

Ask for a normal weekday flight, a fixed-date holiday flight and a longer trip that needs a different cabin. For each, request the total balance deducted, required notice and cancellation deadline. Separate the cost of flying from the fee for maintaining membership.

For a waitlisted product, request the expected activation process and whether any payment is due before access begins. Keep an independent travel plan until the provider confirms a usable start date. An application alone does not cover an upcoming journey.

Questions to resolve in writing

  • Which regional entity and membership agreement will I sign?
  • Does the offered rate apply to every aircraft option presented?
  • What is the refund process, and how quickly is an eligible balance returned?
  • What happens if FXSelect cannot cover a qualifying trip?
  • How much would the account decline if I took no flights for six months?

Use those answers alongside the program comparison and a priced itinerary. The useful comparison is the cost and flexibility of your travel year, including time spent waiting for access.
